Pinocchio playing cards
Comic book drawings inspired by Carlo Collodi’s children’s classic, Pinocchio.
Carlo Collodi’s Pinocchio, the wooden marionette that dreams of becoming a real boy, is an immediately recognisable character, notably thanks to his pointed hat and his nose which grows longer when he tells lies. Following his creation by the woodcarver Geppetto, he has many adventures including becoming a donkey and joining a circus. These episodes and many more are retold in colourful pictorial form in this fully illustrated pack from 1997. On the reverse is a full-length image of Pinocchio dressed in a short red tunic with green pants.
I have a few sets available for sale.
